The 2012 conference seeks to create an intellectually stimulating environment for the debate about the non-human and its role in (re)shaping (the future of) social science. We thus welcome papers addressing theoretical, methodological, and epistemological issues, the papers dealing with the past developments of the non-human concept, the evaluation of its strengths and weeknesses as well as empirical examples of its usage. We also strive to open the topic of the future development of the concept and the possibilities it can offer to researchers and scholars across social sciences.
